Can I Use Norton Again With Same Cd
Symantec is snake oil. I would not apply it on win x.

Hi,
I accept to agree with ZigZag3143 (MS-MVP) as a former user I also do not recommend using Norton. Windows Defender is the AV software included with Windows x. You'll be happier using it.

when I called Norton to get help installing lmy 360 on my new reckoner, they told me my network has been hacked already and that I need to take them install anti-hacking software for several hundred dollars. Actually? I just set up upwards a new computer but they claim my sometime software won't install because my IP address has been hacked. Am I being sold a pecker of goods? Do I actually need this software?

I'yard replying just to add another voice to the replies you've already gotten Y'all're being sold a bill of goods, (peradventure by someone who is *non* from Symantec. And Norton is a poor choice; there are many better security products.

I am and so lamentable. That was several days ago and I didn't write it downwards. I went to a page for Norton/Symantec to see about downloading and installing 360 on my new computer since I had already renewed the subscription in June. At the top of the page was a 1-800 # to phone call for support. I decided after talking with the guy that it sounded fishy so I did non purchase the product. Subsequently I went to Kaspersky and installed their anti-virus program. It appeared to exist well-recommended. I ran the netstat on my computer and all is fine. So I'm pretty convinced the original guy was trying to sell me a bill of goods.
